Approved for Commercial Use:
- Hospitals, healthcare centers, educational establishments, grocery stores, shopping centers, commercial/industrial premises, restaurants, food processing plants, etc.
Surface Preparation:
-
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants that could affect bonding.Apply Blue Masking Tape to adjacent surfaces.
Urethane Preparation:
- RATIO A: 4 = B: 1 + 8% to 10% WATER.
- Before initiating the mixing process, it is recommended to verify that all preparations are completed to prevent any time wastage post-mixing. Efficient application is essential once components A and B are mixed, given the product’s rapid setting characteristics.
- Prior to use, it is essential to thoroughly shake or mix components A and B individually to ensure even distribution of the matte or satin chemical throughout each portion.
-
Prepare only the necessary quantity for each coat, always respecting the ratio and adding water inside a Disposable mixing cup.
-
Mix with a Urethane Mixing Paddle on a drill set to low speed(300 to 400 rpm).
-
Add water into the vortex and keep mixing for at least 3 minutes until complete homogeneity.
-
Use within 25 minutes following the mixing of the two components A and B.
Urethane Application:
- Ventilate the room during application.
-
Do a test on a small section before proceeding.
-
Apply the Urethane using a Foam Roller kit with Brush, for larger surface, you can use a standard size foam or 5mm roller .
- It is essential to apply each coat meticulously to ensure that all pores in the Microcement are thoroughly sealed.
- To prevent uneven protection and potential surface damage, avoid reapplying over areas that were coated a few minutes earlier, as this could cause the urethane to stick to your brush or roller.”
- For wall or countertop applications, ensure a minimum drying time of 4 hours between coats. For floors where walking is necessary during application, allow 12 to 24 hours between coats.
-
If exceeding 24 hours, lightly sand with a 220 Sandpaper and remove dust using a dry cloth.
-
Apply a minimum of 2 coats, and up to 4 coats for enhanced protection. Add more coats as needed until the waterproofing test confirms success.
-
Remove the Blue Masking Tape.
Waterproofing test :
- 24 hours after the last urethane coat, always conduct a waterproofing test before using the surface.
- Do not proceed and use the surfaces until the waterproofing test is successful.
- To perform the test, use a soaking wet cloth and place it on various spots across the covered area for 15 minutes.
- If the color of the Microcement darkens, the surface is not adequately sealed and requires additional coat of urethane, wait until thoroughly dry to proceed. Repeat test until successful.
- If the color remains unchanged, proceed to conduct a thorough water test, such as running a shower or applying a substantial amount of water.
- If the color remains consistent after this test, the surface is properly sealed and ready for use.
Surface Maintenance:
- Avoid using the surface for the first 12 hours.
- Clean using only neutral soap to preserve the urethane coating and finish.
Safety Guidelines:
- Keep out of reach from children.
-
Use in ventilated area, wear eye protection, gloves, and a mask. Wash hands after use.
